Child conceived as a result of incest or sexual violation
An Unsupported Child’s Benefit carer does not need to apply for Child Support for a child, if that child was conceived as a result of incest or sexual violation.
MSD does not require details of events that led to the child being conceived.
When a carer is uncomfortable or reluctant to discuss the issue, we should not push the matter. The information from the client should be accepted.
Police reports, or written proof is not required.
