Eligible child

To get an OSCAR Subsidy, the client's child must be:

• dependent on the caregiver who is applying for the subsidy (this includes when the caregiver is getting Unsupported Child's Benefit or Orphan's Benefit for the child)
• aged:
  • from 5 to 13 years old or
  • between 14 and 18 years old and getting Child Disability Allowance and
• attending an approved OSCAR programme for a total of 3 or more hours a week
