Client leaves care

Pay the client their full benefit entitlement from the date of departure. Any redirection of benefit authorised by the client to the service provider ceases on the client's discharge date.

If the client returns to live in the community, reassess eligibility for benefit assistance, and invite applications for Extra Help if appropriate.
