Payment

If the client's main benefit is less than the single Supported Living Payment rate, then you should increase the rate to that level.

For the current Social Rehabilitation Assistance rates see:

Social Rehabilitation Assistance is paid through miscellaneous subsidy (code 835) and select reason for payment code 501 on SWIFTT. The payment must be paid direct to the social rehabilitation provider.

The social rehabilitation provider is added as a payee to the clients' record. A comment must be entered 'in Social Rehab' into the comment field on the miscellaneous subsidy screen and a 'must view' note must be completed in CMS notes in every case.

The 'must view' note should contain the following details:

  • date the client entered social rehabilitation
  • name of the social rehabilitation provider and
  • any other relevant information, such as the client authorising the social rehabilitation provider to act as their agent for the duration of their residence in the programme and
  • whether or not the client has authorised the re-direction of any or all of their benefit payment directly to the social rehabilitation providers resident trust account
