Emergency Maintenance Allowance : Contents
Client obtains employment overseas
Where the client:
- is successful in their job prospect or job search overseas and
- they are not returning to New Zealand
the Emergency Maintenance Allowance should be cancelled from the day after the notice of job appointment.
If the client returns to New Zealand for the period between getting the job and actually starting employment, the Emergency Maintenance Allowance can be continued until they leave the country. The benefit must be cancelled from the day after they leave New Zealand to commence the job.
