Emergency Maintenance Allowance : Contents
Split care
Split care is when parents with two or more children are living apart and each parent has the care of at least one of their children on a full-time basis.
The child that is living with the Emergency Maintenance Allowance client can be included as a dependent child.
Note that in split care situations generally only one parent can receive Sole Parent Support. The other parent must qualify, in their own right, for another benefit.
