Weekend leave

Where the client is receiving the hospital rate and they are on leave for the weekend only, you should pay the appropriate full rate of benefit for the equivalent number of days the client is on leave.

Example

Client is on leave from Friday to Monday, pay the appropriate full rate of benefit for 4 days. Generally, you will do this by completing a back dated review.

Note the dates of admission and discharge are not regarded as days spent in hospital.
