Client no longer eligible for part-time work obligations or deferral
A client's obligations will change when:
- the client's medical certificate indicates that their work capacity has changed
- the client's medical certificate is no longer current
- the client informs Work and Income that they are available for and seeking full-time work
When this occurs, you need to review the client's benefit entitlement and work obligations, and determine whether the client will now have full-time work obligations.
If a person requests to have full-time work obligations, and their medical certificate suggests this is not appropriate, you may refer to a Regional Health and Disability advisor for clarification of a person's capacity for work and limitations. This will assist to determine what the appropriate obligations for the client are.
