Partners with youngest dependent child aged under 3 years
Work preparation obligations apply to:
- partners with a youngest dependent child aged under 3 years
The partner must take all reasonable steps to prepare them for work in the future. For more information see:
Partners may apply for an exemption from their work preparation obligations. Generally, they can only be considered for a full exemption as work preparation obligations mean that they are required to plan for employment and undertake work preparation activities - the equivalent of a partial exemption. For more information see:
If a partner fails to comply with their work preparation obligations, they have an obligations failure.
