Adequacy of current housing
To assess whether the client's current housing situation is adequate MSD must consider if the client needs accommodation, or needs to move from their current accommodation because they are:
- 'not living in any accommodation' or
- staying in emergency housing or transitional housing for the time being or
- living in accommodation that is not fit to live in, or is in serious state of disrepair that presents a severe and significant health and safety risk to the clients (e.g. no structural integrity or the conditions of the facilities are poor or non-existent) or
- living in accommodation that is overcrowded or
- living in accommodation when they have no, or limited, security of tenure
The overall rating for adequacy will be taken from the highest score across all the criteria.
