Client with suspended or expired benefit record
Assessable income can be reviewed when a client or their partner (if any) has a permanent change in income.
When a client or their partner (if any) is getting a benefit and the benefit payments have reduced or stopped, the indicative rate of Income Related Rent calculated will be reviewed:
- when the client tells MSD of the change in circumstances or
- following the cancellation of the benefit at 8 weeks
Retrospective benefit review
When benefit is reviewed and retrospectively adjusted, you may need to consider whether the indicative rate of Income Related Rent calculated needs to be reviewed.
