Benefit is cancelled or suspended
When a client who is receiving income support has their benefit cancelled or suspended you will need to consider whether this will affect their eligibility for social housing or their indicative rate of Income Related Rent.
Generally, when a client's benefit is cancelled it will mean a change in their income and you will need to review their circumstances. For example, the client's benefit has been cancelled due to starting employment.
A review of the client's circumstances may not be necessary in some situations. For example, you would not complete a review where the client's benefit is suspended because they have failed to return their annual review of benefit forms on time.
