Equivalent to Jobseeker Support (health condition, injury or disability)

Where a client is limited in their capacity to find work because they have a health condition, an injury or a disability and the client does not meet the 2 year residence requirement for Jobseeker Support, consider Jobseeker Support on grounds of hardship in the first instance.

You may consider Emergency Benefit when the client is not eligible for any other benefit and they are in one of the following situations:

• Patients from Tokelau, Niue and Cook Islands
• Donating a kidney or liver tissue
• Not eligible for another benefit
