Health condition, injury or disability

Where a client is not eligible for another benefit and is unable to earn a sufficient livelihood primarily due to a health condition, an injury or a disability, an Emergency Benefit may be considered.

Note before an Emergency Benefit is granted consider the client's eligibility to Jobseeker Support on ground of health condition, injury or disability.

If it is justified that an Emergency Benefit is paid, the nature of the health condition, injury or disability needs to be assessed. This will determine the equivalent benefit to which the Emergency Benefit will be granted.
