Expiry date falls in the week immediately before or including 26 December
If a client's expiry date falls in the week immediately before or including 26 December, their Jobseeker Support can continue to be paid until the first Monday after 2 January. The client must complete the reapplication process before that Monday to continue getting Jobseeker Support.
The client's expiry date does not change in this situation. This mean if a client completes the reapplication process and continues to be entitled to get Jobseeker Support, their benefit will be regranted from the expiry date, not from the first Monday after 2 January.
Note when a client’s expiry date falls in the week immediately before or including 26 December, the ‘initial notice to reapply’ letter will be sent 25 working days before their expiry date.
