Information given to housing provider at referral
MSD must give the following information to housing providers to support placement of a client into a suitable property and to enable the provider to make an informed decision about a tenancy:
- the client's contact details
- details of their housing requirements
- any special housing requirements and
- any other information the housing provider reasonably requests to make an informed decision
Note MSD may also include any other information it considers reasonable or necessary, including matters relevant to tenancy sustainability (such as reasons for suspension, if applicable).
Information not given to provider
MSD should not pass on information to housing providers that has no relevance to making a placement decision, unless MSD considers the provision of the information to be reasonable or necessary. For example, benefit information or details of warrant to arrest.
