Suitability of Sustainable Employment Trial
You and the client need to agree that the client will take part in a Sustainable Employment Trial and the period of the Sustainable Employment Trial. As Work and Income want to encourage clients to trial work, in most cases it will be appropriate to agree to a client's request to undertake a Sustainable Employment Trial.
You may want to encourage the client to discuss their involvement in a Sustainable Employment Trial with their health practitioner or other relevant support professional. This may include discussions on whether the job is appropriate or their planned hours of work are realistic or could be gradually increased.
