Changes and reviews
Generally, clients should advise MSD within 14 days of any changes in their or their household's circumstances that may affect their continued eligibility for social housing or the need for the particular property they are renting.
Change in circumstances and effect on tenancy review
All clients in social housing can have their tenancy reviewed. However, initial reviews are targeted to focus on the people most likely able to sustain alternative housing. This means when clients tell MSD about changes in circumstances that affect their continued eligibility or the need for the particular property, their continued eligibility for social housing may not be reviewed straight away.
When there are changes to a client's Income Related Rent or an applicant's priority on the social housing register see:
- Income Related Rent Change in circumstances
- Register management and referrals Change in circumstances.
The client's continued eligibility for social housing or the property they are in, will be reviewed if they meet the selection criteria for tenancy review.
