Working part-time

Participating in education, training or work-based learning is the focus for young people receiving Young Parent Payment. It is not a requirement that they seek part-time employment.

However, if they wish to they can work part-time and still receive Young Parent Payment as long as they can meet the qualification to be in, or available for, full-time education, approved training or approved work-based learning.
