Sole parents with sanction applied
Sole parents and single clients getting Orphans Benefit or Unsupported Childs Benefit who have any sanction imposed will be sent the "notice to reapply" letter. They must complete the reapplication process before their expiry date to continue getting Jobseeker Support.
When sole parents and single clients getting Orphans Benefit or Unsupported Childs Benefit fail their obligations and have a sanction imposed, their benefit remains current because 50% protection applies.
Note if the client completes their reapplication before the expiry date and their Jobseeker Support is regranted, the financial or non-financial sanction will continue to apply to the regranted benefit until they recomply.
